Belfast is one of our most popular day tours which gives passengers an insight into the cities troubles past but also shows it as a modern cosmopolitan city. Your day tour will bring you on a tour of East and West Belfast, the Titanic Quarter and the peace wall. You will also visit Downpatrick, Dundrum Norman Castle and the Mourne Mts all in one day!
In Belfast we do an historical / political guided tour taking in many of the troubles hotspots and visit the republican museum. we visit the Belfast dockyards which is the birthplace of the Titanic. We will give you some free time to explore the city before leaving Belfast but fear not we have plenty more to show you on this tour.
Trip Details:
08.00am - we leave from Dublin, St Andrews/ Suffolk Street (please arrive 10 min earlier);
10.15am - we arrive in the city of Belfast where we will drive around West Belfast which comprises of 'Loyalists' (allegiance to the Queen) on the one side, and 'Republicans' (those who want a united Ireland). We are the only company to take in the republican museum (closed Sunday and Monday) which has a large amount of prison artefacts and prisoner handy craft as well as a research library and audio visual exhibitions.
11.00am - Take some time for your self to explore the city and grab a bite to eat. Here are some suggestions on what to see: he Crown Liquor Saloon; If culture is for you the Grand Opera house and St. Anne's cathedral (also known as Belfast Cathedral) are worth a visit; Belfast has its own leaning tower! The Albert Memorial Clock; For the history buff the linen hall library is worth a visit; Donegal Square and City Hall is the landmark site in the centre of Belfast.
13.30pm - We travel to East Belfast to visit the Harland and Wolf shipyard. Many ships were launched from this yard most famously The Titanic. You might have heard of it!
14.45pm - Downpatrick is the next stop where we will visit the Saint Patrick Centre. Here you will see an exhibition and a short film cataloguing the life of St. Patrick. Then we will walk to Down Cathedral which is the last resting place of the patron saint of Ireland.
16.00pm -The Quaint seaside village of Dundrum is our next stop where we will visit the ruin of what was once a fortified Norman castle built in the 13th century.
17.00pm - Last but not least we will visit The Mourne Mountains, Northern Irelands largest mountain range where you will get a view of the highest peak 'Slieve Donard' from an area specially selected for its outstanding beauty.
17.20pm - Unfortunately we have to leave this beautiful spot and head back to Dublin. Sit back and relax, chat about the day and listen to some traditional Irish Music. We hope to be back in Dublin around 19.30.

Dress Code
Comfortable waterproof walking boots, waterproof and windproof jacket. You may also want take an additional breathable top in case the weather gets colder. Thick socks / Hat / Gloves also may be a good choice, depending on the season. A good idea may be to bring along water bottle & lunch box. Sun Glasses, Sun Cream and insect repellent are two other essentials as the sun may be quite strong sometimes. And last but not least - don't forget your Camera!

This price includes a guided tour of Belfast City. We visit The Belfast Peace Wall ( one of Ireland's 7 Wonders ), the Republican Museum (closed Sunday an Monday). We also visit Downpatrick exhibition centre and St Patricks Grave, Dundrum Castle and The Mourne Mountains.
