ATI Psychology Institute's six month Diploma in Psychology courses offer a Comprehensive Foundation Programme designed to inform, stimulate and challenge you. The courses are open to everyone, irrespective of previous educational or professional qualifications. Each course can be completed in just six months with materials accessed from our online platform on a monthly basis. If you require more time to complete, arrangements to extend the time needed to complete the course can be easily made. These courses are at foundation level and are not professional qualifications. Courses are designed to be flexible in that participants may choose to complete the assignments monthly; or halfway through the course; or all assignments together at the end of the course.
You have four different diploma courses to choose from:
Addiction Studies - learn more about the biology and psychology of addiction, how it affects the individual and society as well as ways to help those suffering from addiction.
Eating Disorders - develop a thorough understanding of eating disorders, signs and symptoms and intervention methods.
Child Psychology - gain a deeper understanding of the important role parenting plays in child development through case studies and examples.
Counselling, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis - receive a great introduction to each of these disciplines as well as developing your own therapeutic style.
Each course is divided into six units. Each of the units can be completed over month. They comprise reading matterial together with two written assignments. You can contact your tutor by email to assist you if you have any difficulties either with the course or the assignments. On average the course will require three-four hours reading/study per week. We are very flexible with all assignments - if you feel that you need more time to accomplish them we are happy to facilitate any change.

Each unit comprises reading material, together with two written assignments. All assignments are to have a minimum of two hundred and fifty words. The assignments are straight forward & relate directly to the reading material. They will include short factual answers, personal responses/reactions to the reading material, self-development exercises, etc.
