Once we have finished drawing your portrait we will apply a fixator to the drawing. Then a black mountboard is applied and we ship the drawing to you by post. It is recommended to frame the drawing under a frame with glass and store it away from direct sunlight to keep its quality.
Dry Brush (Oil Paint) Technique
Dry brush is a drawing technique in which a small amount of paint is applied on a dry paintbrush and painted on paper or canvas. This technique gives a more dramatic effect than traditional pencil drawing. High contrast is achieved with black oil paint on white paper. Dry oil painting technique arose in the mid-80s among the street painters of "Arbat", the pedestrian area in the historic heart of Moscow. Dry brush is perceived as a non-traditional technique and is rarely used. However, these days, it is becoming more popular among artists.
